Statements
With a diverse background in industrial construction, design, and maintenance, followed by desktop publishing, technical writing, and training development, I am uniquely qualified to produce written materials that effectively target industrial professionals.
I work from my home office, since I cannot travel or relocate. I provide computer-based web design, development, and writing services at greater efficiency, higher quality, and lower cost than traditional on-site employment. My typical work style is to evaluate and improve the efficiency of production tasks, and then implement the improved procedures, producing technical documentation that is uniform, attractive, appealing, and accurate. My past employers have been very pleased with my technical and creative abilities.
My greatest strength is in document formatting. I enjoy taking the rough output of a writer or writing team and polishing it into finished, deliverable documents. This allows on-site writers and SMEs to effectively focus on writing, without wasting time trying to manage formatting and consistency, which is best managed by one off-site expert.
I have been a personal computer user for over twenty-five years. I learn software applications quickly, and then proceed to utilize the software’s advanced features to improve efficiency and consistency. I have also developed training software using script-based programming and animated graphics.
I am strictly honest, both personally and professionally. As a small business owner, I focus on excellent work at fair prices, and complete client satisfaction.
Please contact me to discuss your needs.
Thank you for your time and for evaluating this résumé. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Sincerely, Harold Melton
