Web Designs
KV5R designs web sites that are clean, uncluttered, and professional. His web design philosophy breaks the mold of over-complicated, ‘cookie-cutter’ web sites. Every KV5R design is new and fresh, themed to reflect clients’ interests and needs. His web designs avoid the confusing clutter and ‘machinery’ seen on most web sites, preferring pages that are clean, attractive, informative, and easy to use.
Web Development
KV5R develops web sites as ‘works-for-hire,’ for a reasonable hourly rate, so that clients get exactly what they want, and they own the content upon completion. He does not retain ownership and license web sites (but does retain rights certain reusable applications code). This allows clients to choose the future maintenance of their sites without restriction. It also allows them to maintain control of the development costs throughout the project.
KV5R does not ‘host’ web sites nor resell web server space. His clients obtain and control their own hosting and domain name services, so they are never ‘locked-in’ to one person or company for web server hosting or domain name services.
Currently, KV5R does not build nor maintain e-commerce web sites, however, clients may obtain carts/billing services from third-parties and KV5R can integrate them into your site.
Web Maintenance
KV5R can maintain your existing web site, provided you own the rights (copyright) to it, or obtain permission from the copyright owner. He will also maintain web sites he builds for you after completion, if desired. Maintenance and updates are performed in a timely manner, controlled by a clear and fair agreement.
Web Makeovers
Is your present web site outdated, too plain, or too complex? KV5R can take your web site and polish it into a clean and beautiful site—one that reflects your needs, interests, and tastes. Unlike most web developers, he has extensive experience in writing and desktop publishing, and knows how to clean up your content and format it into a professional layout and style.
Project Outsourcing
Do you have an ongoing project that needs a little help in the ‘polishing-up’ department? That’s what KV5R does best! KV5R will be happy to provide his services to fill your outsourcing needs. Technical Writing
KV5R has an extensive background in writing for industrial clients. He is a subject matter expert in industrial control systems and aviation manufacturing and maintenance. He has also written books and web articles relating to Christianity and Amateur radio communications.
Document Development
KV5R can develop your documents, or take your existing documentation, and design and apply a consistent document style. Whether your document control needs are large or small, he can organize and standardize all of your projects’ documentation. He is particularly adept at reformatting existing material. His document designs are clean, attractive, and functional. He has training and experience in desktop publishing (DTP) and professional page layout.
Training Development
KV5R has management-level experience in both paper-based and computer-based industrial training development. In 1992, he designed and developed the OPTIM™ computer-based training system for NUS Training Corporation, built and managed the CBT division, and developed site-specific CBT for major industrial clients. In 2000, he developed training manuals for the MIAT aviation manufacturing training facility in Kuala Lumpur. With extensive industrial experience, he knows how to develop training and procedures that are accurately targeted for industrial personnel.
